Two Minutes to Midnight – Romance Novel Addicts Anonymous Book Review

RNAA Rose Rating: Four Roses

Title: Two Minutes to Midnight

Author: Willow Salix

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Two Minutes To Midnight a Carpe Noctem Novel, the first in a brand new series from DragonCat Press.

Topaz Thompson was happy as she was, thank you very much. A string of bad relationships and disastrous blind dates has done little to restore her faith in a happy ever after. And now here she is, spending her holiday time going on yet another wild goose chase of the supernatural kind. The last thing she expects to find in a pretentious goth club in Edinburgh, is the man of her dreams.

Logan McGregor had always known he could never love anyone as much as he loved his wife, who was tragically murdered many years before. So imagine his surprise when the beautiful Topaz crosses his path, stirring up long forgotten feelings, showing him that there might be hope after all.

This is a story of a love that spans centuries, proving that when fate has you in her sights, not even death can keep you apart, true love will always win out.

A Soul Mate is forever.

What I Loved About this Book:

This was a highly entertaining, sexy, and romantic read. It featured a strong female character, a witch, who falls in love with a vampire. The hero in the book is sexy and strong, and the two leads make a terrific couple you can really root for. The book had the perfect amount of worldbuilding for my tastes; enough to set the scene but not so much that it was boring or overwhelmingly detailed.

What Could Have Been Better:

There were a few too many typos. The writing was quite good, but the book could have done with maybe one more proofread by a professional editor.

Sexual Content: Yes. Steamy, sexy, well-written sex scenes.

An entertaining, sexy paranormal romance with the perfect amount of worldbuilding. I would recommend this book even for those who don’t normally read paranormal romance.

The Magician’s Curse – Romance Novel Addicts Anonymous Recommended Read

This was a gripping read with truly engaging characters. This book is an excellent mix of romance and intrigue, and is a nice change of pace from so many cookie-cutter romances. Stephen Dagmur is a compelling and somewhat tortured hero, and the heroine is innocent but strong and resilient. An excellent start to a new series and doesn’t end on a cliffhanger. I look forward to more from this author. You can get the book at AMAZON.

The Gettysburg Ghost Series Box Set is Now Available!

What happens when you find the love of your life more than one hundred years after your death? You might just find your happy ever after…

The Gettysburg Ghost series is comprised of three complete yet interconnected books about Civil War ghost soldiers who fall in love with living women. In modern-day Gettysburg, ghostly soldiers freely roam among the living, with most people mistaking them for Civil War reenactors.

The first tale is about Jesse, a dead Confederate soldier who falls in love with Lucy, a waitress in a tavern in the town of Gettysburg. Jesse has admired Lucy from afar for months, but is afraid to approach her because she is terrified of ghosts. Book two centers around Lucy’s best friend, Theresa, who starts a counseling group for dead Civil War soldiers in an effort to help them cross over to heaven. Theresa falls in love with one of the Union soldiers and fears he will eventually cross over and leave her behind. Book three involves Remy, a Ghost Tour guide who doesn’t believe in ghosts. She’s oblivious to the Irish Confederate soldier, Avery, who has fallen in love with her. When she finally learns his true identity, she falls for him, too. Avery is torn between staying with Remy and crossing over to be with his long lost daughter.

The Gettysburg Ghost Series is a three-book romance series with adult content and is intended for mature audiences only!
