My Thoughts on the Book: This is a clever and funny friends-to-lovers romance with some fun mystery thrown in. Denise is a witty event planner and Rob is a ranger on the hunt for animal poachers. The story all comes together with a clever twist at the end. Very enjoyable read.

My Thoughts on the Book: One of the best books I’ve read in a long time. Major league baseball player Cory Potter isn’t just a handsome jock, but he’s a fully developed, multi-dimensional guy. Natalie is a strong, smart woman who refuses to let men walk all over her. Their relationship is intense and passionate, which made for a page-turning read. I am a huge baseball fan but you don’t have to be to enjoy this sexy, heartwarming sports romance.

Genre: Romantic Suspense

My Thoughts on This Book: This was a terrific suspense story with a heroic, swoon-worthy hero and a smart and sexy heroine. Trapped in a mall overnight with hostages taken during a bank robbery, Connall and Bailey have to work together to survive. Con is used to situations like this as he is a member of a SWAT team, but Bailey is more out of her element. This was a thoroughly enjoyable story and an excellent start to a romance suspense series.

My Thoughts on the Book: Learning to feel by NR Walker is centred around two men. Nathan, a doctor, who isn’t sure if he’s gay or straight. And Trent, Nathan’s new roommate who is an artist. Once Nathan accepts his sexuality, a beautiful love affair starts between the two. Throughout, they face hardship and prejudice whilst living in a judgemental small town. This book is very steamy yet thought-provoking.

My Thoughts on the Book: Gypsy King is the first book in the Tin Gypsy series by Devney Perry. The story centres around Bryce, a journalist. After a failed career in New York, she returns home to work at her father’s newspaper. Learning of a murder in town, she’s out to take down the local motorcycle club who she believes is responsible. Enter Dash, the sexy, dirty talking Vice President of the Tin Gypsies. After an epic showdown, the pair decide to work together to crack the case but find it very difficult when all they want to do is tear each other’s clothes off. This book will grip you from beginning to end and leads the way for a sequel. It’s sweet in places, very sexy and sometimes dark. Be warned: it may cause triggers due the nature of the subject.

My Thoughts on The Book:

This is the first book in the Cloverleigh Farm Series by Melanie Harlow. The story revolves around Frannie who works at her parents estate and has a heart condition. The hero in this tale is Mack, a single dad raising three children. Though he’s not looking for love, he can’t help but wonder about the farm girl Frannie who is much younger than him. Imagine his surprise when he discovers she feels the same. A beautiful hidden love affair blooms between the two with obstacles at every turn. Just when you think you have it all figured out, the author throws massive spanner’s in the works. This book is fun, sweet and sexy and hits all the rights spots. Book 2, 3 & 4 in the series are also available.

The Guy in the Middle – An RNAA Recommended Read

Genre: Contemporary Second Chance Sports Romance

My Thoughts on This Book:

This is the third and final instalment of the underdogs series. The story centres around Lance and Harper. Lance is a football pro/boxer with secrets and Harper is a dancer who wears her heart on her sleeve. Whilst they shouldn’t work on paper, they are inexplicably drawn to one another much to other people’s disapproval. This book is superbly written. Keep the tissues handy because while this is a corker of a steamy read, it’s also a tear jerker. Get ready to ugly cry. I advise to read the books in order as characters from the past pop up every few chapters or so.

More Than Desire – Romance Novel Addicts Anonymous Recommended Read

Genre: Contemporary Bollywood Romance

My Thoughts on the Book: This is a well written second chance romance between a Bollywood director and a Bollywood actress. The heroine was hard to like at times, but that was kind of the point I suppose. She acted like a spoiled diva, but her attitude was really born out of insecurity. Overall this was an enjoyable, steamy romance.

My Thoughts on the Book:

I am not a fan of bad boys, cocky alphas, and all-around jerk romance heroes, so I was happy to find a book about a good guy hero. I was not disappointed – Travis is a hunky, protective hero without being unnecessarily possessive and obnoxious. This is a sweet yet steamy story about a hero and heroine, both virgins, who find true love. Travis picks up an innocent, runaway hitchhiker and brings her back to his small town where she finds the home she never had.
