My Thoughts on the Book:

Theo Prescott comes from a broken family and deals with bitter divorces for a living, so it’s no surprise that he doesn’t do well with relationships. He cares too much about his best friend, Lauren,  to break her heart like he’s done to so many others, so he tries to deny his feelings for her. Lauren is a talented musician who writes and performs her own songs – many of which are about him… This is an absolute must-read for fans of Friends to Lovers romance, as well as for anyone who loves a good steamy, page-turning read.

Genre: Baseball Romance, Contemporary Romance

My Thoughts on the Book: This was a steamy, engaging enemies to lovers book. The tension between the “Frenemies to lovers” was sensual and hot without either of them being overly obnoxious which is sometimes the case with the enemies trope. Aerin was somewhat of a bitchy ice queen, but I still found her likable because she had her reasons for being that way. Javi was super hot, likable, and is a doting father. Interestingly, both the hero and heroine were in their forties which was refreshing. This book held my interest from beginning to end and I can recommend it without reservation. Though this is book four in a series, it works perfectly fine as a standalone.
