My Thoughts on the Book:

This was a highly entertaining, sexy book containing sensual descriptions of both food and sex. The main conflict revolves around a woman who hates rugby (and comes by her distaste honestly, given her personal experiences) and a hero who plays…guess what? It was cleverly written with lots of witty banter between the romantic leads. I’ve read so many books lately that seemed like they were written in an awful hurry, and it was refreshing to read a book from an author who clearly took her time and actually thought about what she was writing. She clearly knows what she’s talking about, both with the heroine’s expertise in baking and with the locations in Rome. The book is definitely on the longer side, but it didn’t really drag. It’s not a book that you might finish quickly, but one that’s meant to be savored.

My thoughts on this book: This was an enjoyable romantic comedy about a gruff, alpha yet not too obnoxiously alpha, guy and a wedding planner who was left at the altar at her own wedding. Though of course there is an HEA, there were some cool twists and turns in the story to keep you guessing. Great book for when you’re in the mood for a light romantic read.

My Thoughts on the Book: When I first picked up this book, I had absolutely no idea what the book was about. All I knew was that it was a romance novel and that there was a ton of hype surrounding it. I was surprised to find it was a male/male romance. This was a pleasant surprise, as it was heartwarming to see an LGBT book like this one enjoy so much success. This was an utterly charming tale of a sweeping love affair between the First Son of the United States (the son of the first female president) and the Prince of England. This was such a clever idea, and it was executed beautifully. Featuring beautiful flowery love letters between the two absolutely swoon-worthy heroes, it was funny, sweet, charming, and certainly tugs at your heart strings. The book dealt with homophobia in a fairly idealistic and unrealistic way, and I was completely fine with that. There is so much ugliness and hate going on in the world and I relished reading about the world the way it could be, not the way it really is. Highly recommend this inspiring, heartwarming, uplifting read.

My Thoughts on This Book:

My favorite kind of romance novels are ones that combine steaminess with sweetness. Though rock star Les has his flaws (as any character in a book should!) he wasn’t a jerk. I loved his relationship with his music partner, Evan. This was one of those books that I enjoyed from beginning to the end. Les and Evan were both so endearing and as I read their story, I just couldn’t wait for them to get their HEA. Lots of steamy love scenes, no insta-love, and no arrogant, alpha jerks. Plus, I also think it’s fun to read about characters who are celebrities. This book was five stars all the way for me.
