This was a short and steamy read featuring quirky characters and a healthy dose of voyeurism set against the backdrop of the stage. This was a thoroughly entertaining tale of two lovers getting a second chance at love. A quick and enjoyable read – you won’t want to miss this one!

My Thoughts on This Book:

My favorite kind of romance novels are ones that combine steaminess with sweetness. Though rock star Les has his flaws (as any character in a book should!) he wasn’t a jerk. I loved his relationship with his music partner, Evan. This was one of those books that I enjoyed from beginning to the end. Les and Evan were both so endearing and as I read their story, I just couldn’t wait for them to get their HEA. Lots of steamy love scenes, no insta-love, and no arrogant, alpha jerks. Plus, I also think it’s fun to read about characters who are celebrities. This book was five stars all the way for me.

This is an excellent book by debut author Ashley M. Hodge. Stevie is a girl on the run from her past. She’s forced to confront it when she goes back home to assist her best friend, Jordan, during her father’s illness. Once back home, Stevie finds herself falling hard and fast for Jordan’s brother, Zane. Together, they struggle to deal with the past in the hopes for a brighter future. This is an engaging steamy romance with motorcycles, secrets, intrigue, love, passion, and second chances.

This is an unusual tale full of twists and turns involving a sexy and clever magician, his lovely magician’s assistant and soulmate, a family curse, and a jealous romantic rival hell-bent on revenge. Stephen Dagmar, or The Great Dagmaru, is no ordinary parlor-trick magician. On the contrary, his magic is real, as is his love and passion for Herman. If you’re in the mood for some romantic suspense, steamy passion, and a gothic tale of magic and revenge, this is the book for you!

My Thoughts :

This is a highly engaging big city to small town sweet romance. I was drawn to this book because I am a big Broadway fan, and the heroine does the makeup for The Phantom of the Opera. I enjoyed this book immensely and especially liked the attraction and sensual tension between the two romantic leads. It’s been my experience that sweet romance books can be a little too sweet for my tastes, but that was not the case with this book. This book most certainly qualifies as a clean romance, but it did a nice job of developing the attraction and the love between the main characters. I found this to be a quick and enjoyable romantic read.

My Review: This story has excitement, romance, and drama in the form of a war between clans. The hero, Brodie Cameron, is strong and brave, as is his love interest, Skye. The book has the perfect amount of steamy sensuality and a terrific HEA. This is the second book in the series, but it works fine as a standalone.

What I Loved About this Book: This book featured a strong alpha male, with an equally strong heroine. Brigit didn’t take orders from Colton, and I liked that about her. Brigit is highly intelligent with strong business and financial sense, which was refreshing. You don’t often see romance novel heroines involved in business matters. This book has clever writing, snappy dialogue, and engaging characters. It’s a very sexy and romantic read that moves along at a good pace.

What Could Have Been Better: There were definitely some plot points that were a little hard to swallow. The idea that everyone who works for Mitus is required to live in his mansion was unrealistic, and involving your staff in sexual situations is implausible in the best of circumstances. In today’s climate, it’s impossible. However, I don’t read romance novels for reality, so I’m fine to just go with it.

Sexual Content: Yes. Explicit sex, plus some kink.

Overall: A highly sensual tale full of suspense, twists, and turns.
